Cherokee Trail Ride is now closed due to the Freedom Hills Wildlife Management Area no longer allowing horses.
Rolling hills, breath taking valleys, scenic ridges, hardwood forests, sparkling creeks, blue skies, and abundant wildlife... ...add to this quiet get away -- a retreat from all the hoopla and crowds. A refuge from all the chaos where the service spoils you with home-cooked food and pleasant company.
Friendly and accomadating guides take you and your horse on miles of trails that cover over 30,000 acres of both private and wildlife management land. We also have different rides during the year for both Competitive Trail Rides and Endurance Rides. We hope to soon add Fox Hunts (coyotes), Field Trials and Extreme Cowboy Riding to our list of events along with more clinics. Cherokee Trail Ride is located in the beautiful hills of Northwest Alabama 1 mile east of the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway and nearby Coon Dog Cemetary. Close by are Tuscumbia (Birthplace of Helen Keller and home of Alabama Music Hall of Fame), Muscle Shoals (home of Fame Recording Studio), and Florence (home of W.C. Handy "Father of the Blues" and Frank Lloyd Wright Rosenbaum Home). So if you have spouses and family who love to come with you, but don't share your love of horses we offer tours of our beautiful area with a number of festivals throughout the year. We also offer guided fishing trips on the beautiful Tennessee River and its tributaries. Seven weekends of hunting are also offered.
But the biggest thing we offer is our peaceful surroundings where our family would love to serve you and yours.
