Cherokee Trail Ride Facilities
Cherokee Trail Ride offers many amenities:
Cherokee Trail Ride's features include a 50' x 100' Dining Hall with a huge rock fireplace. It is equipped with a full commercial kitchen and all our meals are kept warm by a steam table and stainless steel serving line. For your convenience we now serve three delicious meals a day. After a long day ridin' the dusty trail, you can pull up a chair on our 100 ft. long front porch and watch the sun set. Our modern bathhouse and restrooms have been voted one of the nicest in our industry, which makes for a great place to wash up after a long day. We were pleased this past summer to add both air conditioning and heat to our Dining Hall and bathhouses.
Our campsites at Cherokee Trail Ride are equipped for even the largest RV's and trailers with electrical hookups and water. All our barns have roomy 8x12 covered stalls that are within 200 ft. of the campsites. Water and lights are also at every barn. For those who like to "rough it" we offer primitive campsites as well. For those who would rather not camp at all, Cherokee Trail Ride is just minutes from hotels.
Trails Cherokee Trail Ride has over 30,000 acres to ride which consist of rolling hills, ridges, woods and sparkling creeks with easy traveling terrain. On our trails you can expect to encounter flowing creeks, spring-fed lakes, deer, turkey, and quail. The trails consist of timberland (both hardwoods and pine), old logging roads, pastures, creek crossings and a gravel road that leads to a bridge crossing. The footing on the timberland trails is a combination of dirt, clay and rock. Our trails are rated as easy to moderate trails, but for the more adventerous we do have some more difficult trails. It is highly recommended that horses be shod on all four feet. We offer organized trail rides that last from 3 to 7 days. These organized rides are scheduled throughout the year. However, if those times do not fit your schedule we encourage you, your family and friends (for groups of 10 or more) to create your own dates for an organized trail ride. For your convenience and to better your riding experience with us, all rides are guided.
